Multi Skilled Shift Fabric Maintenance Technician
About the Role
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi Skilled Fabric Technician in Oxford. The successful candidate will assist with fabric works, minor electrical, plumbing, and building repairs, supporting the maintenance and improvement of the client estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake minor reactive repairs and routine maintenance following CBRE procedures.
- Perform non-complex tasks on Low Pressure Hot Water Systems to ensure legionella prevention and control.
- Complete maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
- Communicate with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare work requests, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Carry out repairs on floor and wall coverings, ceiling tiles, and other minor carpentry and building maintenance.
- Handle lighting, plumbing, and drainage tasks, including replacing lamps, plug tops, socket outlets, and filters on AHUs/FCUs.
- Perform general cleaning duties in plant and equipment areas.
- Assist colleagues with engineering and building works.
- Follow safety guidelines and work on low-pressure hot water systems as instructed.
- Record and report work progress and participate in safety and quality initiatives.
- Participate in shift work, including planned overtime and out-of-hours on-call system.
- Engage in training and development activities.
- Undertake minor electrical work after appropriate training.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by the line manager.
Person Specifications
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ/City & Guilds in relevant building trades
- Experience in fabric, carpentry, and plumbing
- At least 2 years in a customer-focused technical environment
- Knowledge of H&S procedures, COSHH, working at heights, risk assessments
