PRS Engineering has engaged with a new client and an exciting sustainable renewables expert with multiple plants across the UK. Due to increase in activity and team expansion we are looking to hire an Engineering Team Leader to join and lead the Operations and Maintenance team. This role will be working on a 5-shift system at the Thornton facility.
Ideally you should have a background of Chemical or Processing or Recycling or Renewable Energy or Industrial Manufacturing in order to meet industry requirements & working environment. Unfortunately, no visa sponsorship will be provided now or in the future. You must be eligible to work in the UK with no restrictions. ILR status and dependant visas are ok to move forward.
Job Summary
The Shift Engineering Team Leader is key to keeping the plant running smoothly. This role covers a range of responsibilities across different areas of the business, so flexibility and adaptability are essential. Outside core operating hours, you'll take charge of the site and team, ensuring everything stays on track. You'll lead your team by following company policies and safety procedures, maintaining high safety standards, improving production processes, and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you hold an ONC/HNC Mechanical or Electrical qualification or the equivalent experience with supporting qualifications.
