Due to rapid growth, THG is looking to recruit an additional Multi-skilled Shift Engineer for the team that maintains and ensures the reliability of all assets within the food manufacturing department. You will provide both a reactive and pro-active, multi-skilled (electrical-biased) maintenance service on all equipment. You will be based at our site in Warrington and will report to the Manufacturing Maintenance & Reliability Manager.

Main responsibilities

  • Work on and assist with developing the Plant PPM program, while using your RCA skills in response to Reactive tasks, to move the department towards a predictive Maintenance culture.
  • Supervise, control and monitor the operation of electrical manufacturing equipment and systems;
  • Ensure that manufacturing, operation and maintenance complies with design specifications and contractual arrangements;
  • Organise and establish control systems to monitor the performance and safety of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Communicate maintenance progress updates to your colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of tasks completed / in progress using the departments CMMS system.
  • Work in a methodical fashion to maintain Food safety standards and traceability of engineering activities.
  • Support Production Technical Operators, guide and improve their TPM activities.
  • Work closely with Production to identify and drive Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Normal hours of work are as follows: Panama Shift pattern.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years hands on electrical engineering experience in a FMCG process environment
  • ONC / equivalent qualifications, Electrically biased with Mechanical skills
  • Experience of PLC / servo drive diagnostic techniques.
  • Good Knowledge of electrical/electronic/mechanical and pneumatic controls
  • Positive approach to plant reliability and continuous improvement activities
  • High Level of H+S Awareness
  • Results Focused, You will continually strive for improvements both in the process and personally
  • Flexibility with regards to working pattern and you will need to be happy working shifts.
Engineers to work a rotating pattern of:
05:45am 14:15pm Mon - Thurs and 06:00 - 14:00 Friday.

21:45pm - 06:15am Sun - wed and 22:00pm - 06:00am Thursday

13:45pm - 22:15pm Mon - Thurs and 14:00 - 22:00 Friday
