About The Role.

Working at our Bread site based in Aston, the successful candidate will have previous electrical and mechanical experience within manufacturing and a solid background in Health & Safety. You will be highly competent in electrical fault finding and analysis and provide engineering support to production to ensure the efficient performance of all equipment.

The site makes chilled speciality hand-crafted flatbreads, baguettes, doughballs and ciabattas for customers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct planned and predictive maintenance of processing and packaging assets
  • Respond to breakdowns
  • Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) and action as required
  • Lead or support operational teams with machinery change overs and set ups
  • Manufacture and repair component parts for machinery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise assets or processes
  • Ensure that all H&S procedures, engineering best practice are adhered to at all times
  • Accurate & timely records are entered and recorded on all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares/consumables used

About You.

  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Recognised Engineering qualification
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Flexible working attitude
  • Competent electrical / fault finding & analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Methodical & strong attention to detail
