Job summary

Rehlko in the United Kingdom is seeking a time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to maintain generators ranging from 20–1500kVA. You will work a 5-in-7 pattern, mainly midweek, and may assist other engineers in the field with a company vehicle provided.

Your role includes diagnosing faults, keeping records, and liaising with coordinators to ensure smooth scheduling while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or NVQ Level 2+ or higher.
• Experience with generators 20-1500kVA.
• Ability to perform risk assessments.
• Previous experience in a mechanical engineering role is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) – willing to undertake towing training.
• Confident in dealing with customers from various sectors.
• Comfortable communicating in person and over the phone.

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on a range of generators.
• Work a shift pattern 5 days in 7, mainly midweek.
• Occasionally assist other engineers in the field; a company vehicle is provided.
• Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs.
• Liaise with Coordinators to ensure efficient scheduling and planning.
• Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Collect parts from suppliers as required.
• Keep accurate records using the company’s bespoke management system.
