Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to maintain and repair critical building services. You will diagnose faults, perform planned preventative maintenance, and ensure HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and related controls operate safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems equipment including HVAC, pumps, motors and controls.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults and conducting planned preventative maintenance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.
• Proactive and self‑motivated, able to work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
• Flexibility to work on shifts and participate in an on‑call rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing and repairs of mechanical systems and equipment such as HVAC systems, pumps, motors and other mechanical assets.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders and equipment data.
