Job description

Join Arla as a Multi-Skilled Engineer. Help us feed the nation—one breakfast at a time.

This is a shift-based role, operating on a Panama-style schedule with 12-hour shifts that rotate between days and nights. Flexibility is essential.

As an Arla Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring Cravendale milk reaches every morning cuppa, Skyr yoghurt fills breakfast bowls, and Anchor butter spreads smoothly on toast across the UK.

This is more than just a job—it's a chance to work at our cutting-edge flagship dairy in Aylesbury. Built in 2010 and spanning 76 acres, this pioneering site is the world's first 100% carbon-neutral dairy. Producing over 1 billion litres of milk annually, it's central to Arla's mission to feed the nation.

What Do Our Engineers Do?

Our engineers are hands-on problem solvers. They maintain, repair, and install the machinery that powers our production of high-quality, nutritious dairy products. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll apply your expertise in engineering and manufacturing to support our high-performing team and optimise every aspect of our production facility.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance on all dairy processing and packaging equipment
  • Maintaining a robust PPM system and ensuring compliance with flexibility and efficiency
  • Leading continuous improvement teams and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Delivering planned maintenance across production lines using tools like TPM, RCM, FMEA, 5S, and Kaizen
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to boost OEE, quality, and health & safety standards
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with FMCG engineering and maintenance (desirable)

This role involves a 42-hour rotating shift pattern, including both day and night shifts. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to grow within a company that champions internal promotion.
