Overview

Shift Engineer - Birmingham

Shift pattern: 45hrs, Monday to Sunday. 8hr Continental Shift Pattern (includes days, lates and nights).

Salary: £41,400 - £44,975 depending on experience.

We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Shift Engineer in a busy and challenging environment. This is a hands-on role, providing vital support to the business and contributing to the smooth running of the organisation in a small team. The Role

Working as a member of the Engineering Team, the successful candidate will provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover across the entire production facility.

• Completion of all routine maintenance, in line with the agreed site plan.
• Repair and maintenance of the plant and its equipment, to ensure faults are identified quickly and production downtime is minimised.
• Accurate recording of all work undertaken for compliance and audit purposes.
• Ensuring all duties are undertaken in line with current health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• To communicate effectively with all managers, supervisors and colleagues, as necessary.
• To complete necessary continued personal development.

The Candidate

An experienced multi-skilled engineer with an electrical or mechanical bias.

• Engineering Level 3 or Higher
• Proven track record within a fast-paced production environment.
• Conversant with PLCs.
• Proactive and can-do attitude.
• A logical approach to fault finding with a high attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working hours is essential.
• Ideally from a Laundry or FMCG industry background, but not required.
