Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Southampton, Swanwick, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to ensure electrical services are maintained and operated safely in compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

Role focuses on Planned Maintenance and Reactive Works across HVAC, motors, pumps and LV/HV systems, with periodic NICEIC inspections. Logging of inspection reports will be required, along with staying updated on regulations and safe procedures.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 236 and/or 232, Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• IEE 18th Edition Regulations and Test and Inspection 2391.
• Experience in LV/HV electrical maintenance in the commercial services sector.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Maintenance Schedule and Reactive Works on electrical services and equipment (HV/LV).
• Record and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
• Maintain knowledge of statutory regulations and safety procedures.
• Undertake electrical repairs and installations and report defects during service visits.
• Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

Job description

ROLE: Electrical Engineer
HOURS: 1 week of earlies Monday to Friday 0600–1500 and 1 week of lates Monday to Friday 1400–2300
LOCATION: Southampton, Swanwick

Role Responsibilities:

• Carry out both Planned Maintenance Schedule plus Reactive Works as required on electrical services and equipment. This will include but not limited to HVAC, motors, pumps & LV/HV electrical systems. There is also a requirement to conduct periodic NICEIC.
• Record and keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
• Maintain a working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures.
• Undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate. Report any defects at time-of-service visit.
• Understand and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• City and Guilds 236 and/or 232, Parts 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• IEE 18th Edition Regulations and Test and Inspection 2391.
• Experience in dealing with LV and HV electrical maintenance work within the commercial services sector.
