A leading packaging manufacturer in the Scunthorpe area is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team on a Panama shift pattern.
The ideal candidate will be a hardworking and adaptable Electrical Technician with a technical background within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will report to the Maintenance Manager and provide planned, preventative maintenance expertise along with responses to reactive breakdowns.

Role: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: GBP 22.50 per hour
Shift: Panama (Days and Nights) (20:00 - 08:00)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, assemblies, and components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on equipment, including basic hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct basic fault analysis and identify early signs of electrical failure.
- Perform PLC fault finding (input/output).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and industry standards.
- Participate in scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Support the implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) practices and other operational systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist operators in routine machinery upkeep and minor maintenance tasks.
- Support training efforts and cooperate with external personnel such as agency workers and contractors.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Adhere strictly to all Health and Safety procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, BRC, and other relevant standards adopted by the company.
- Dress appropriately in accordance with all applicable Health and Safety requirements.
- Perform additional tasks of a similar nature, as reasonably assigned and in line with the role.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role within fast-paced manufacturing environments such as Automotive, Food, FMCG, etc.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems such as motors, VFDs, sensors, etc.
- Basic PLC fault finding skills.
- Ability to read schematic drawings.
- Willingness to work Panama shifts.
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or a time-served apprenticeship.
