About the role

We are seeking a shift electrician to join our team in Bramley. If you want to be part of a dynamic team of engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet, this could be the perfect role for you. We welcome applications from ex-military personnel with an engineering apprenticeship or experienced engineers seeking a transition.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle faults and determine appropriate repair methods and parts.
• Perform vehicle servicing.
• Overhaul and repair vehicle electrical systems, including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems, and E.C.U.
• Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, temperature gauges, micrometers, vernier gauges, and E.C.U. diagnostic computers.

We will provide your overalls (PPE).

Compensation and shift pattern

Hourly pay rate: £17.36 p/h

Shift pattern: working 5 days over 7, from 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00.

Candidate requirements

• Minimum IMI Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification.
• UK driver's license.
• Experience with workshop equipment and electrical systems overhaul and repair.
• Capability to obtain a full PCV license and forklift truck license if required (First Bus will assist with this).
