This is an on-site position based in Christchurch or Ashburton

Busy food processing sites in Ashburton & Christchurch are looking for NZ's best industrial electricians. We are keen to review applicable CVs for an ASAP start. If you meet the requirements below, please get in touch!

The Role: Industrial Electrician

• 4 on 4 off (rotating days & nights) in Ashburton
• Day shifts in Christchurch

As a member of the in-house maintenance team, you will work to minimize interruptions to production, ensuring the electrical plant is well maintained. You will collaborate with production using preventative and diagnostic maintenance measures to resolve electrical issues in a timely, safe, and high-quality manner.

Successful Candidate:

• Full NZ Licensed Electrician (EWRB)
• Proficient in electrical standards & regulations for industrial environments
• Minimum 3 years’ industrial electrical experience
• Experience with FMCG manufacturing, ideally food
• Excellent English communication skills

Knowledge of:

• Breakdown diagnostics in time-pressured scenarios
• Maintenance planning in FMCG manufacturing
• Motor start & control equipment - direct drive, soft start & VSDs
• PLCs, sensing and control equipment, & SCADA systems
• Hydraulics and pneumatics (highly desirable)
