Equans is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer for a permanent role in Birmingham, working 40 hours a week. Equans is looking for a Shift Electrical Engineer to work on our contract with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week, based on a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, 7am-7pm. There is also an on-call rota.

Effectively perform electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially lighting and small power (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner. There will be a requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised
Carry out work on the following but not limited to; day to day maintenance and repairs, weekly and monthly fire alarm testing, emergency lighting
Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures)
Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
Work as part of a wider engineering team so there may be a requirement for them to pick up other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems
Carry out on call duties as part of a rota

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent
18th Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671
Experience of working with HTM's
Valid driving licence
Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
Low Voltage Appointment (LV AP) (Desirable)
2391 Inspection and Test (Desirable)
MEWP 3A & 3B (Desirable)
HV Knowledge/Experience (Desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
