A facilities management company in Birmingham is seeking a Shift Electrical Craftsperson to handle electrical maintenance and repairs at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Equans is looking for a Shift Electrical Craftsperson to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 39.375 hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern of four days on, four days off, made up of working two days 0700 - 1900 and two nights 1900 - 0700.

Diagnose and repair faults in engineering installation, plant and equipment. To deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others. To inform immediate Supervisors of any delays or difficulties encountered
Produce, if necessary, list of materials to carry out remedial repairs or alterations to current task
Ensure all PPM and Reactive work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions and response and repair times
Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision
Set up New Work appropriate to his/her own trade using relevant tools, equipment and machinery, without supervision, as appropriate to his/her grade
After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP's, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces
To carry out unsupervised maintenance and repairs and report any defects or unusual circumstances to the Supervisor
Maintenance and repair of electrical systems such as emergency lighting, nurse call, fire alarm, general lighting switches/sockets etc.

Contractual or indentured apprenticeship or equivalent competency based achievement
EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical NVQ or C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
