Job summary

DCS Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced SHEQ Officer to support demolition enabling works and specialist contracting projects across multiple sites in the UK. This hands-on, site-based role works closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and operatives to promote a positive safety culture and drive high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

You’ll carry out inspections, audits and RAMS reviews, provide practical HSEQ advice, and support ISO management

Qualifications

• Experience in a SHEQ/HSEQ or health & safety role within construction, civil engineering, demolition or enabling works.
• Strong practical site experience and knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections, incident investigations and RAMS reviews.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal Auditor experience (desirable).
• Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable).
• Environmental qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Carry out SHEQ site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.
• Provide practical HSEQ advice and support to site teams.
• Review RAMS, COSHH assessments and Construction Phase Plans.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and workforce briefings.
• Review subcontractor RAMS and monitor contractor performance.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Produce inspection reports and promote continuous improvement across projects.

SHEQ Officer

We're looking for an experienced SHEQ Officer to with demolition experience to support, demolition enabling works and specialist contracting projects across multiple sites.
