Job description

A leading provider of infrastructure solutions to include HV power line diversions and substation constructions are looking for a proactive, hands-on, and dynamic Health & Safety Manager (South UK) who thrives on creating safer workplaces, engaging with teams and influencing positive change. An expert within your field, you will be providing advice, training and support across all departments.

Experienced within the power sector you'll lead the SHEQ team that is responsible Power & Telecomms Projects across the south of the UK. You will drive compliance with company policies, procedures and integrated management systems, while attending client contract meetings and delivering presentations as needed.

Your day to day responsibilities will be more than just ensuring policies are adhered too.

Investigating incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures will be a key aspect of your role, along with compiling and submitting reports to the Board of Directors in a timely manner.

In addition, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of HSE programs.

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the power sector

* NEBOSH Certificate and ideally relevant membership of IOSH

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people

* Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture

* Experience working in live substations is desirable, as well as previous exposure to DNO and IDNO environments.

* A full UK driving license is essential
