Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is partnering with a precast concrete manufacturer in Nottingham to recruit a SHEQ Manager (Manufacturing) who will own Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the site. You will develop, implement and continually improve policies and programmes to raise standards.

The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH qualified with proven experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, lead investigations, deliver training, and support ISO audits.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification required.
• Experience as SHEQ Manager or similar in manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continually improve SHEQ policies, procedures and programmes across the manufacturing site.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation.
• Identify hazards, undertake risk assessments and implement controls.
• Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver SHEQ training and toolbox talks to employees at all levels.
• Manage safe systems of work, permits to work and related documentation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments for improvement.
• Support and lead ISO audits to maintain compliance.

Are you an experienced SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, QHSE Manager or HSE Manager with a strong background in manufacturing, looking to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within a growing organisation?

You will have the autonomy to implement new processes, improve compliance and help embed a strong culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility throughout the site.

The Role

• Develop, implement and continuously improve SHEQ policies, procedures and programmes across the manufacturing site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation.
• Identify hazards, undertake risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
• Lead and support incident, accident and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Deliver SHEQ training and toolbox talks to employees at all levels.
• Manage and improve safe systems of work, permits to work and associated documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Support and lead ISO audits, ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant management systems.

The Person

• Previous experience as a SHEQ Manager, HSE Manager, QHSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager or similar.
• NEBOSH qualified.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environment.
