Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting a SHEQ Manager (Manufacturing) for a Nottingham-based precast concrete manufacturer. You will take ownership of health, safety, environment and quality, developing and driving the SHEQ strategy across a busy site.

You will implement new processes, improve compliance and embed a strong culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility throughout the site. The role offers development opportunities and the chance to influence ISO standards and site

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification required.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment and quality management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve SHEQ policies, procedures and programmes across the manufacturing site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and quality legislation.
• Identify hazards, undertake risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Lead investigations into incidents, accidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver SHEQ training and toolbox talks to employees at all levels.
• Manage and improve safe systems of work, permits to work and related documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify improvements.
• Support ISO audits to ensure ongoing compliance.

Are you an experienced SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, QHSE Manager or HSE Manager with a strong background in manufacturing, looking to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality within a growing organisation?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precast concrete manufacturing business, taking a key role in developing and driving the company's SHEQ strategy across a busy manufacturing environment. You will have the autonomy to implement new processes, improve compliance and help embed a strong culture of safety, quality and environmental responsibility throughout the site.

The company has a long-standing reputation within the precast concrete industry, supplying specialist concrete products across the UK and Ireland. Following continued investment and expansion, this is an exciting time to join the business and have a genuine influence over its safety, environmental and quality standards.

The Role

• Develop, implement and continuously improve SHEQ policies, procedures and programmes across the manufacturing site.

• Support and lead ISO audits, ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant management systems.

The Person

• Previous experience as a SHEQ Manager, HSE Manager, QHSE Manager, Health & Safety Manager or similar.
• NEBOSH qualified.
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, construction or industrial environment.
