SHEQ Manager - Transfer Station Sites (CWR, Image Park, Cheshire & Hinckley)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on SHEQ Manager to lead the implementation, compliance, and continual improvement of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across our Transfer Station sites. This role is key in driving a strong SHEQ culture and ensuring the sites operate safely, legally, and efficiently in line with Tradebe's policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice. You will support teams with risk assessments, emergency planning, regulatory engagement, and auditing, while maintaining robust management systems and promoting continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead SHEQ activities across four sites, ensuring compliance with legislation, environmental permits, and company policies.
• Manage process and personal safety programmes (HazID, HazOP, LOPA, inductions, contractor control, and incident investigations).
• Oversee occupational health surveillance, chemical exposure monitoring, and workplace safety compliance.
• Maintain ISO-certified management systems, lead audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and report monthly on SHEQ performance indicators and respond promptly to significant events or issues.

Do you have what it takes?

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach
• Competent in MS Office and general IT systems
• Full UK driving licence
• Positive "can-do" attitude and team mindset

Desirable:

• Experience in waste management or technical SHEQ specialisms
• Strong time and project management skills
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and integrated management systems
