Job Title: SHEQ Manager
Location: 30% Office Based, 70% Site Based, London
Responsible to: Contracts Director & Operations Director

Our client is an experienced regional contractor delivering new build, design and build, and refurbishment solutions to both public and private sector clients across London and the South-East. Since their formation in 2014, they have earned a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, professional construction projects.

They specialise in a range of sectors including education, commercial, healthcare, super-prime residential, and cladding remediation, and have built an extensive portfolio of successful projects across these areas.

To support their continued growth in the capital, our client is seeking a SHEQ Manager.

Experience:
  • A solid track record in managing Quality, Health & Safety within the construction industry.
  • Experience working across multiple sectors (e.g., education, commercial, residential, healthcare) is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to embed and enforce compliance systems and drive continuous improvement.
Main Duties:
  • Identify training requirements for staff.
  • Conduct health and safety site audits across all sites.
  • Perform compliance audits.
  • Manage and improve company accreditations, currently including SMAS, and pursue additional relevant accreditations.
  • Participate in pre-construction activities and tender processes.
  • Attain ISO or similar quality and safety standards.
  • Manage the company’s health and safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement company policies and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with current health and safety standards.
  • Understand the 'golden thread' concept and Gateway 2/3 of the Building Safety Regulator (training will be provided).
