SHEQ/Health and Safety Manager – Bourne – New!

Are you an accomplished SHEQ/Health and Safety Manager with a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment? In this role you will be a strategic leader for change and work closely with senior management and other teams to promote a healthy and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Champion strict compliance with all health and safety policies, procedures, and site-specific performance standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, delivering clear insights and proactive support to management and team members.
  • Spearhead the development, review, and continuous improvement of health and safety procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive site audits and inspections, meticulously tracking findings and driving timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and professional development within the safety team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Health and Safety role, with a strong understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ideally NEBOSH certified, or minimum IOSH qualification (NEBOSH training can be provided if needed).
  • A confident leader with the ability to inspire, guide, and challenge others to uphold safety standards.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach and a demonstrated history of making impactful safety improvements.
