SHEQ Coordinator
Monday to Friday – 40 hours/week

Dual Site - Maltby (S66 7RH) & Ranskill (DN22 8RB)

We design, manufacture, and deliver bricks, walling, and masonry with a specialization in low carbon concrete bricks. We are part of Marshalls PLC, the UK’s leading manufacturer of hard landscaping, building, and roofing products.

We are currently recruiting a SHEQ Coordinator to join our Maltby and Ranskill manufacturing sites. Although the role is dual-site, most of your time will be spent at the Maltby site. Internally, this role is known as our SHEQ Compliance Leader.

What’s the mission?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead SHEQ Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) at Maltby and Ranskill. This involves working closely with the site team and external support functions to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Your responsibilities include monitoring compliance, policies, procedures, and management systems, providing updates at monthly management meetings, environmental planning, managing external contractors, assisting with SHEQ investigations, and driving improvements across all SHEQ areas onsite.

What are the mission-critical skills?
  • Experience in medium/large manufacturing or quarrying operations.
  • Knowledge of standards/testing requirements for product conformity.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental legislation compliance.
  • Experience with quality management systems and process control.
  • Experience managing customer complaints and supplier issues (non-conformances).
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools, RCA, MSA, and lean techniques is advantageous.
  • Experience with internal and external audits and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Concrete Technology is a plus.
