Job summary

Bulkhaul Limited is recruiting a proactive SHEQ Co-ordinator to support the SHEQ Manager in maintaining safety, quality and environmental practices across the business. You will oversee audits, risk assessments and policy maintenance, ensuring ISO standards are met and continuous improvement is driven.

The role requires strong communication, a hands-on approach and experience with UK SHEQ regulations. Office-based in Middlesbrough with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a SHEQ role or similar capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of UK SHEQ legislation and best practice.
• NEBOSH General Certificate is essential; Fire Safety or Environmental qualification is desirable.
• ISO 9001/14001/45001 experience welcomed.
• Experience conducting internal and external audits.
• Experience conducting risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Accurate and professional written skills.
• MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Power Point; open to learning new tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the SHEQ Manager.
• Conduct regular safety audits, workplace inspections and risk assessments across departments.
• Maintain the company's SHEQ controls and policies per ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
• Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics and support improvement plans.
• Deliver safety inductions and training to promote a strong safety culture.
• Review and draft company Risk Assessments, Procedures, Policies & Processes.
• Provide updates to senior managers on SHEQ issues.
• Identify trends related to business behaviours and practices.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation and company policies.
• Review ISO audit reports and oversee corrective actions with the SHEQ Manager.
• Assist in customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
