Job summary

Freedom Networks, part of the NG Bailey Group, seeks an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support operational teams across the Inverness region. You will ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards on diverse projects and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

You will lead inspections, investigations, and client engagements while collaborating with central SHEQ teams to align with best practices and company standards.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to influence and support operational teams in achieving SHEQ objectives.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure SHEQ compliance.
• Monitor operational activities for SHEQ compliance and escalate findings.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture across the org.
• Provide practical SHEQ advice to project teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Group SHEQ to maintain standards.
• Present outcomes at client SHEQ meetings and share lessons.
• Monitor contractor performance for SHEQ compliance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.
• Collaborate with central SHEQ teams on improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of the SHEQ Management System.
