Role summary

The SHEQ Advisor role exists to ensure the organisation operates safely, sustainably, and in compliance with all relevant standards, legislation, and internal policies. The role is accountable for promoting a strong safety culture, maintaining effective quality, environmental, and health systems, and driving continual improvement to protect people, enhance performance, and safeguard the organisation’s reputation.

Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (not essential)
Skills / Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Provide support to the SHEQ Manager and Senior Managers in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and working towards continual SHEQ improvements.
  • Actively maintain Management Systems ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 and assist with annual reviews of SHEQ Management Systems.
  • Support the business through the completion of tender & PQQ questionnaires and maintain the supplier and contractor approved list.
  • Support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified, corrective actions are implemented, and lessons learned are shared across the business.
  • Conduct SHEQ audits and inspections at company premises and projects to ensure legal compliance and identify potential health, safety, and environmental hazards and risks.
