Job summary

Danny Sullivan & Sons Ltd is recruiting a Trainee SHEQ Advisor to support construction projects across Essex, Kent and Surrey. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in Health & Safety / SHEQ and the chance to learn from experienced site teams on live sites.

You will assist with SHEQ activities, participate in site inspections and investigations, and develop knowledge of safety, environmental and quality procedures while travelling between projects.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification encouraged or in progress.
• Genuine interest in Health & Safety and construction.
• Willing to learn in a site-based environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel between projects across Essex, Kent and Surrey.
• Previous SHEQ experience is not essential (trainee level).

Responsibilities

• Assist with SHEQ activities across multiple construction sites.
• Support site inspections, safety observations and close-out actions.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
• Support RAMS reviews and compliance checks.
• Maintain SHEQ documentation and site records.
• Work closely with site teams to promote safe working practices.
• Support the implementation of company health & safety procedures.
• Develop knowledge and experience of construction SHEQ requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Health & Safety / SHEQ and gain practical, hands-on experience within a busy construction environment.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced SHEQ and site teams, receiving support and guidance while developing their knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality procedures across live construction sites.
