Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is looking for a SHEQ professional to promote a strong SHEQ culture and ensure compliance with legal requirements. The role requires a minimum NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and involves regular audits, inspections, and SHEQ reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in social housing or maintenance projects and strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum).
• Experience within social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a 'Zero Harm' approach.
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and safety tours.
• Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including incidents and KPIs.
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation.

Skills

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a “Zero Harm” approach
• Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements
• Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and safety tours
• Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including incidents and KPIs
• Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, and briefings to site teams
• Monitor and analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and improvements
• Maintain systems such as ECO-online and document control platforms
• Encourage reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents
• Support and guide site teams and SHEQ coordinators
• Attend SHEQ meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For
