Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a Sheffield school to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2 with SEND, including autism/ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

The role is temporary and full-time with an immediate start, offering market-leading rates and access to CPD, with a supportive consultant team available 24/7 to guide you through onboarding and placement processes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children across KS1 and KS2.
• SEND experience, particularly autism/ASD, ADHD or SEMH, is desirable.
• Experience providing 1:1 support to pupils.
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with needs including autism/ASD, ADHD or SEMH.
• Help pupils across KS1/KS2 access and engage with learning.
• Build positive relationships and maintain a supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support individual education plans.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a school in Sheffield that supports pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The setting is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent and positive support to pupils with additional needs.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis with an immediate start. The successful Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 support for pupils with needs including autism / ASD, ADHD and SEMH, helping them access learning, remain engaged and develop within the school environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children across KS1 and KS2
• SEND experience, particularly supporting autism / ASD, ADHD or SEMH, is desirable
• Experience providing 1:1 support to pupils
• Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
