Job summary

ECHELON ENGINEERS in Sheffield is seeking a Production & Scheduling Administrator to create and schedule works orders for bespoke machine builds. You will coordinate engineering, purchasing, stores and assembly to keep projects on time and within spec in a hands-on, detail-driven role.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and proficient in Microsoft Office; Sage ERP experience is a plus as is understanding BOM principles. A proactive team player is essential.

• Strong communicator who can liaise across departments.

Responsibilities

• Produce and schedule works orders against the master production schedule.
• Keep build plans, milestones and schedule changes visible to all teams.
• Coordinate Stores and Purchasing to ensure kits and materials are ready before production weeks.
• Resolve material or scheduling conflicts between Foreman, Stores and Purchasing.
• Collate weekly fitter hours from Sage for payroll and reporting.
• Prepare production reports and support general admin for the Operations Manager.
• Act as main contact for scheduling queries and escalate issues promptly.
