Due to an expansive order book we are seeking time served and experienced Sheet Metal Workers / Welders / Fabricators to join and expand our established team.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have proven experience working with Mild Steel and Stainless Steel.
  • Experience of stainless steel in 1mm to 5mm would be a distinct advantage.
  • Have proven proficiency in the use of TIG and MIG.
  • Be able to weld to set standards.
  • Have outstanding fabrication knowledge with a thorough understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Be skilled and knowledgeable in the use of sheet metal machinery and hand tools.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail, and a flexible attitude towards problem solving and the continuous improvement of manufacturing methods.
  • Have a pleasant and positive manner, take pride in your work, and enjoy working to high standards of accuracy and surface finish.

Your Role Will Include

  • The manufacture of bespoke fabrications from detailed engineering drawings; including welding and finishing to company procedures and coding’s.
  • Working with a small technical team during design review stage to establish manufacturing methods and techniques for new orders.
  • Using metal cutting and forming machinery and hand tools.
  • MIG and TIG welding of various ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Problem solving and providing feedback and suggestions on improvements for manufacture.

Qualifications

  • Time served in a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience in sheet metal and welding is a necessity for this role.

Salary: Very Competitive - Discussed at Interview

Pension Scheme: 11% (6% Employer contributions / 5% Employee)

Holidays: 21 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays per year

Hours of work: Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.00, Friday 08.00-13.00 – Overtime regularly available.
