Kinetic are seeking to recruit an experienced Sheet Metal Worker for a permanent role with a Global business in the Glasgow area!

Role Description:

A suitably qualified and experienced Sheet Metal Worker who is trusted to carry out the installation of HVAC systems, with the aim of delivering the best product possible.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Installation and testing of all HVAC equipment.

Typical Knowledge and Skills:

1. Understanding of quality standards.
2. Understanding all Assessments, Risk, PUWER & COSHH.
3. Understanding of Relevant Trade Drawings.

Required Qualifications:

1. SVQ/NVQ 3 Marine Engineering.
2. SVQ/NVQ 3 Apprenticeship or industry recognised equivalent.
3. Relevant experience, post-apprenticeship, in a marine installation or industrial installation environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Mig / Tig Welding.

Core Skills/Experience:

1. Installation of furniture.
2. Fabrication & installation of hilti.
3. Installation of ventilation.
4. Smoke containment.
5. Dust proofing.
6. Installation of stores / galley / pantries / recreational seating / outfitting cabins / EDBA Boxes / fire dampers / cooling coils / supply & exhaust fans.
7. Understanding relevant trade drawings.
8. Understanding all assessments - Risk, PUWER & COSHH.
9. Awareness of relevant manufacturing instructions & risk Assessments.

Desirable Experience:

1. Folding Material Using Brake Press.
2. Cutting Material Using CNC Punching Machine.
3. Mitre Saw Blade Changing.

Knowledge:

1. Understanding of HVAC Installation & Manufacture.
2. Understanding of SHE Risks Assessments, PUWER and COSHH.
3. Understanding of manufacturing processes, instructions and procedures.
4. Range of tools, materials, equipment and components used when performing operations, their characteristics, features and their safe use, movement and operation.
5. Importance of restoring the work area to a tidy and safe state on completion of work and what this entails.

Expected Skills:

1. Maintain the safety of self along with others by following safe systems of work when conducting operations.
2. Select, use, maintain, and store appropriate resources safely and correctly (tools, equipment, machinery and consumables).
3. Follow quality improvement principles, techniques, and methods and identify any areas for improvement.
4. Install, position and secure Cabin & office / Rec Space Furniture And Shelving.
5. Fit Jalousies & ATU Equipment / Fans / Dampers.
