Job summary
Proactive Personnel ltd are recruiting for our client in the Castle Donington area for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker. You will read and interpret drawings and specifications, work with titanium and stainless steel, sheet metal 0.7–1.6mm, assemble parts, and perform visual inspections to tight tolerances.
You must have an Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work or equivalent, plus hands-on experience with hand tools, shaping metal over blocks, inspecting and smoothing seams, and reading
Qualifications
- Must have experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Experience with titanium and stainless steel sheet metal.
- Skilled with sheet metal 0.7–1.6mm thickness.
- Apprenticeship or cert in Sheet Metal Work.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe work area and tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings and specs to guide fabrication.
- Shaping metal over blocks using hammers.
- Use hand tools and assemble components.
- Perform visual inspections and check tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and saft working environment.
