Shift Details:

4x4 Day Shift

Preferred Experience:

Structural analysis experience in airframe design/repair programs is highly preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in sheetmetal and/or fabrication.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Position Purpose:

Under general supervision, the Sheetmetal Technician II safely layouts, fabricates, and installs parts, equipment, and fabricated items on aircraft following established procedures, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and installation on aircraft, coordinating with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with paperwork and quality standards.
2. Use blueprints and follow SOPs for cutting, forming plastics, and working with adhesives and sealants.
3. Shape and form complex angles and configurations per blueprint specifications.
4. Operate shop equipment safely, including brakes, presses, riveting tools, shears, and hand tools.
5. Follow all safety and housekeeping policies, use PPE, and protect aircraft interiors.
6. Assist in monthly 5S audits and use material tracking systems.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement activities and maintain tools and equipment.
8. Ensure proper waste disposal and accurate job charging.
9. Coordinate work activities and assist in shop maintenance and safety procedures.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge of sheet-metal processes and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license for operating equipment.
• Proficiency in English and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, work in small areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
