Job description

Sheet Metal Technician


Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (£16.50ph)
Location: 10min drive from Uxbridge
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 12pm
Interview process: 1-stage interview
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Permanent role

Sheet Metal Technician Duties

  • Assembling kits and sub-assemblies using hand tools, riveting machines and gauges

  • Working to detailed engineering drawings and build plans

  • Performing basic inspections and using Go/No-Go gauges

  • Using SAP to record part locations, inspection results, and non-conformances

  • Supporting lean initiatives such as 5S and Continuous Improvement

  • Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards

Sheet Metal Technician Profile

  • Experience with at least one of Riveting, Bonding, Gluing and/or Masking

  • Comfortable using basic hand tools and inspection equipment

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Awareness of Health & Safety standards in a production environment

  • IT literate and able to follow standard operating procedures
