Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturer based in Cambridge, ON is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler for a full-time position at its Buffalo, NY assembly plant. This role involves assembling and installing air handling and ventilation equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, the ability to interpret 3D SolidWorks fabrication drawings, and a strong understanding of AHU components and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install AHUs and ventilation equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Interpret and work from 3D SolidWorks assembly and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate construction and installation.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform assembly, fastening, and component installation.
• Conduct quality checks on assembled units to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or assembly issues, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality.
• Coordinate with engineers and production teams to ensure assembly processes meet design specifications and production deadlines.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience in assembling and installing air handling, ventilation, or air conditioning equipment.
• Strong knowledge of air handling and ventilation components.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D Solid works Assembly and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with metal fabrication and mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
