We fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products and equipment such as HVAC/R ductwork, control boxes, drainpipes, ventilators, and furnace casings, following job orders or blueprints. Responsibilities include selecting the appropriate gauge and type of sheet metal based on the product, locating and marking dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets, and setting up and operating fabricating machines like shears, brakes, bending rolls, and punch and drill presses to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal. Additional tasks involve shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammers and fabricating OEM parts.

Qualifications
  • Prefer 1 to 2 years (or more) of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to understand geometry and interpret flat drawings, pictures, and blueprints to visualize 3D objects.
  • Capability to assess information using measurable standards and recognize details in shapes and shadings.
  • Must possess a current PA Driver's license.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
