Job description

Overview

A large and well established manufacturing company located in Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker on a temporary-permanent basis to join their night shift.

Salary

This role is paying between £16.70ph to £17.57ph inclusive of night shift allowance.

Working hours

10pm to 6am - Monday to Friday

Duties
  • As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be using spinning machines
  • Reading from technical drawings where required
  • Measuring and cutting materials to size using hand and power tools
  • Operating welding machines for joining sheet metal parts
  • Perform quality checks on the finished products to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Work closely with engineers and fabricators across the site
  • Operating rollers in the fabrication department
Candidate requirements
  • Diploma, apprenticeship or NVQ in engineering or similar
  • Must be able to read from technical drawings
  • Will have used fabrication equipment such as rollers, presses brakes and spinning machines
  • Background using various hand/power tools and fabrication machinery is needed
