Job description

Job Purpose Summary

To manufacture complex high variety, low volume aerospace and motorsport parts.

• Experience in aluminium metal fabrication
• Experience with aluminium, steel, and stainless steel is necessary.
• Necessary experience in MIG, and TIG welding, soldering and operation of CNC guillotines, CNC press brake and bending machines.
• Able to work from technical drawings.
  
  

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Support the fabrication side of the business relating to its growth within the motorsport industry
• Competent in the use of required measurement equipment (metric & imperial)
• Awareness of product quality criteria
• Provide feedback to Quality / Production functions were quality issues are observed
• Maintain a pro-active approach to Health Safety, Environment and Quality
• Ensure that the work carried out is completed to a very high standard, meeting customer expectations at all times
• Enthusiastically work as part of a team and follow all management instructions

Personal Specification

• 2 years minimum experience of working as a sheet metal fabricator. Fabrication apprenticeship would be an advantage. Experience working with Aluminium, Steel, Stainless Steel, MIG/TIG welding and soldering.
• Experience using Press Brake and bending machines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good level of English: Level B1 CEFR minimum.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem solving skills
