KH Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing team in Marden, Kent. You will produce precision sheet metal components, bending, forming, deburring and assembling parts to exact specifications.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, a strong understanding of fabrication processes, and the ability to meet quality and production deadlines. A permanent, on-site position with overtime and a bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with fine limit sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with deburring, drilling and spot welding.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Keen eye for detail and pride in high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Bend, form, fabricate and finish sheet metal components to specifications.
• Manufacture parts according to customer drawings and specs.
• Deburr, drill and assemble fabricated components.
• Carry out spot welding on bespoke products when required.
• Ensure work meets high-quality standards and deadlines.
• Maintain safe practices and housekeeping in the workshop.

Sheet Metal Fabricator
Location: Marden, Kent
Salary: £28,000 to £38,000 plus bonus and overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday 0800 to 1700, Permanent

The Role

• As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you’ll be responsible for producing precision sheet metal components to exact specifications. Your day-to-day duties will include:
• Bending, forming, fabricating and finishing sheet metal components.
• Manufacturing parts to customer specifications and engineering drawings.
• Deburring, drilling and assembling fabricated components.
• Carrying out spot welding on bespoke products when required.
• Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and production deadlines.
• Working safely and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.

About You

• We’re looking for someone with:
• Proven experience working with fine limit sheet metal.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with deburring, drilling and spot welding.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• A keen eye for detail and pride in producing high-quality work.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
• LVD CNC Press Brake
• Power-assisted rollers
• Power guillotines
• TIG welding
