Job summary

Optima UK Inc. in Peckleton near Leicester is seeking a career-minded Estimator focusing on reviewing customer inquiries, preparing accurate quotations, and developing commercial understanding within sheet metal manufacturing.

You will work with Commercial Manager, Engineering and Production to ensure customer requirements are understood and quotations are prepared on time. There is scope to grow into an Account Manager role.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating or quotation preparation within manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Clear communication with colleagues across departments.
• Willingness to learn and develop commercial knowledge.
• Interest in progressing into account management.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
• Prepare estimates and quotations using available cost information.
• Liaise with Engineering and Production to clarify requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and quotation progress.
• Support handover of confirmed orders and communicate customer requirements.
• Develop understanding of pricing and margins influencing quotations.
