Job summary

ACO Technologies plc in Bedford is seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer for sheet metal manufacturing to join the design team. You will programme CNC machinery and prepare sheet metal designs using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and TruTops Boost, ensuring accurate BOMs.

Initially based at the Bedford site, the role will relocate to Shefford within the next two years. Hours are 34.5 per week, Monday to Thursday 9:00–17:00 and Friday 9:00–16:30.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or design environment.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
• Ability to read and create engineering drawings with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machinery and prepare sheet metal designs.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to transform concepts.
• Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production.
