Job description

St Clare Hospice is a charity providing specialist palliative care to improve the lives of people affected by a life-limiting illness in West Essex and the borders of East Hertfordshire.

Summary

To oversee safe and supportive Men's Shed practical sessions.

Detailed Description
  1. Be the point of contact for new members and general shed enquiries.
  2. Liaise between shed members and St Clare Hospice staff.
  3. Set up and clear away the sessions tools and activities.
  4. Ensure Health and Safety and Code of Conduct guidelines are followed.
  5. Monitor members' use of tools and ensure they are competent and safe to use said tools.
  6. Be able to make a good, strong cup of tea and keep the biscuit tin well stocked to promote friendly conversation within the group.
