Job summary

SSE plc is seeking a Corporate SHE Advisor to support health, safety and wellbeing across UK and Ireland. You’ll build trusted relationships, share good practice, and help teams understand how health, safety and wellbeing are integral to what we do.

The role offers a permanent full-time pattern with Flexible First options and substantial field visits to manage incidents, audits and contractor engagement. You will contribute to continuous improvement of SHE procedures and support learning from

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in developing a career in Health, Safety and Environment.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (achieved or willing to work towards).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative approach with organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.
• Ability to interpret information and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical health, safety and environmental support to colleagues and contract partners.
• Assist managers with risk assessments, safe systems of work and SHE queries.
• Develop positive working relationships to promote safe behaviours.
• Support contractor engagement and various safety/compliance activities.
• Promote positive safety behaviours and share learnings from incidents and audits.
• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and continuous improvement.
