Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a SHE Coordinator to join our Safety & Compliance team, focusing on supporting Environmental Emissions activities. The role is based at our Stockport site with occasional UK travel and remote support.

The coordinator will help plan, support and implement SHE programmes, developing knowledge of Element Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) programmes and reporting to the SHE Manager.

Qualifications

• Ideally 1–3 years' experience in a coordination role; previous SHE experience is advantageous but not essential.
• An interest in developing a career in Safety, Health and Environmental management.
• Good organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence delivering training and presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work under pressure and build effective relationships.
• A proactive, flexible and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) programmes, policies and procedures across our Stockport site and infrequent travel to other Emissions locations within the UK
• Coordinate site inspections, audits and statutory inspections.
• Assist with risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor operational activities and contractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Support incident investigations and track corrective and preventative actions.
• Maintain SHE records, performance data and KPIs using company systems, including Intelex.
• Coordinate safety equipment, inspections and maintenance requirements.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and awareness training.
• Support SHE committee meetings, employee engagement and safety communications.
• Work with operational teams to identify risks and improve safety performance.
