Job summary

SC Johnson Professional is recruiting a SHE Advisor for a 6-month fixed-term contract at our Denby site in Derbyshire. The role focuses on deploying safety, health and environmental practices, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and SC Johnson standards across the site.

You will engage with managers, engineers and shop-floor teams to identify and control risks, driving ownership and accountability for SHE initiatives. A NEBOSH Level 3 certificate and manufacturing experience are required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 minimum.
• Thorough knowledge of UK HSE regulations including COSHH, Machinery Safety, Fire Safety and Work at Height.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with SHE compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SHE compliance assurance processes (self-assessments, compliance calendars) to ensure adherence to legal, permit, and company requirements.
• Support managers and supervisors with effective shop-floor implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Facilitate and support employee-led SHE initiatives and teams, promoting a strong safety and sustainability culture.
• Analyse SHE audit data (including GEMBA and behavioural observations) to proactively identify risks and prevent incidents.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of corrective and preventative actions.
• Provide technical expertise including risk assessments and industrial hygiene support to maintain compliance.
• Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed effectively.
• Support SHE training processes to ensure required training is defined, delivered, and tracked to completion.
