Job summary

Staffline in Carryduff is seeking a SHE Advisor to work closely with the SHEQ Manager, developing and implementing HSE plans, systems, and procedures for regional plants.

The role involves regular depot site visits, audits, and driving continuous improvement across safety compliance, reporting, and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience with operational safety including risk assessments and procedural documentation.
• Experience and knowledge in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Good knowledge of HSE legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC skills with Word, Excel and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Visit depots weekly to check compliance on fire, first aid, housekeeping, risk assessment, PTW and equipment inspections; record non-conformances and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Plan, book and coordinate internal & external audits and accreditations.
• Carry out internal audits of ISO standards and ensure findings are actioned.
• Support the SHEQ Manager in reviewing health and safety policies and procedures.

Job description

Our client is currently recruiting a SHE Advisor who will collaborate closely with the SHEQ Manager in developing and implementing effective and achievable HSE plans, systems, processes, and procedures. You will actively contribute to the SHEQ department's support and assistance within our client's industrial plants.

Responsibilities

• Visiting each depot and, where applicable, transient activities regularly (minimum weekly basis) checking compliance on items such as fire, first aid, housekeeping, risk assessment, PTW, equipment inspections and the like. Recording and reporting on any non-conformances and hazardous conditions identified and in collaboration with the relevant stakeholder ensuring the timey actioning and follow up of any improvements required.
• Planning, booking and coordinating all audits and accreditations (internal & external) activities.
• Carrying out internal audits of compliance duties and inspection readiness for each ISO standard held or aspired to for each depot and division assigned to them, ensuring any findings or recommendations are actioned.
• Supporting the SHEQ Manager in conducting regular reviews on health and safety policies, and procedures.

Qualifications/Experience

Note: Candidates who have achieved the IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) will be considered with the provision that successful completion of the NEBOSH General Certificate is achieved within their first year of employment.

• As a minimum, experience with operational safety including completion of risk assessments and procedural documentation.
• Experience and knowledge in incident investigation and root causal analysis.
• Good knowledge of HSE legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Teams.

Full-time role based in Carryduff with regular travel to Downpatrick site
