Job Description:

Overall Role Purpose

Provide Microsoft SharePoint technical support and advice ensuring applications are kept running. Provide support and advice for new projects.

This role requires individual to hold Security Clearance or be able to obtain. You will be a British Citizen with no other citizenships who has been based in the UK for the last 5 years.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Working proactively to ensure incidents and problems do not occur through system availability engineering.

  • Perform project work for Microsoft SharePoint and related technologies.

  • Raise and progress change requests.

  • Liaise with various multi-disciplined IT support teams to ensure timely resolution of mission critical service outages.

  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors for problem resolution.

  • Participate in the operational readiness review process and assume responsibilities for ensuring a smooth transition for relevant projects from development to production.

  • Perform upgrade and patching activities.

  • Willing to take part on ‘standby and call out’ rota and willing to work outside of normal working hours.

Key Attributes

  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft web stack solutions including SharePoint, M365, IIS and related technologies.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems.

  • Excellent knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation including PnP PowerShell.

  • An understanding of web technology languages such ad HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

  • An understanding of computer networking.

  • Ability to problem solve in complex scenarios under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willing to mentor junior staff.

  • Actively seeks out and learns new technology skills.

Desirable Attributes

  • Knowledge of SharePoint data migration techniques.

  • Knowledge of M365 Power Platform

  • Knowledge of related technologies such as SSL, Nintex and site design.

  • Knowledge ofMicrosoft Azure.

  • An understanding of Active directory
