About The Role
In this role, you’ll be based at our head office in Chandler's Ford with the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders and departments across the business.
You’ll support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the companywide SharePoint remodel. You’ll deliver a fully functional central communication hub, serving as the primary source of shared information to enhance communication, collaboration, document management, and workflows across the company.
To succeed, you should have a commercial awareness of modern intranet sites and how employees interact with them, with the ability to maximize SharePoint’s interface capabilities.
Main responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve a group-wide SharePoint Intranet.
- Create new collaborative site solutions with workflows and custom features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and design effective SharePoint solutions that meet objectives while identifying enhancements or innovations.
- Advise on and implement the use of Microsoft Power Platform to maximize functionality.
- Lead data migration from SP2016 to SP2019 or SharePoint Online.
- Manage SharePoint administration, including permissions, access, and user requests.
- Implement and maintain a Document Management system, digitizing document lifecycle processes.
- Design SharePoint site architecture, including site collections, lists, libraries, and content types.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting, including end-user training and development of training materials.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
Skills and Experience:
Successful candidates will have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.
Requirements include:
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer with a strong portfolio of projects in large organizations.
- Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, M365, and Power Platforms.
- Experience with migrations from on-prem solutions to M365 and implementing technical changes within Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Ability to evaluate and implement new business productivity solutions.
- Knowledge of information security and data protection principles within SharePoint.
- Troubleshooting skills for SharePoint-related issues.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple projects.
- Experience with project and change management.
- PowerShell and PnP PowerShell scripting skills are advantageous.
- Microsoft and ITIL certifications are beneficial but not essential.
