Job summary

Turner Townsend is seeking a Senior/Expert Microsoft SharePoint Developer in the United Kingdom to design, develop and maintain SharePoint on-premises solutions across 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition. You will build modern client-side components with SPFx and integrate with external systems via REST APIs.

The role requires deep expertise in CSOM/JSOM, JavaScript, TypeScript and a proactive, collaborative approach within Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining SharePoint on-premises solutions.
• At least 5 years developing and supporting SharePoint for a Senior Microsoft SharePoint Developer role.
• At least 10 years designing, building, deploying and maintaining SharePoint for an Expert Microsoft SharePoint Developer role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement custom SharePoint solutions for SharePoint 2016, 2019 and Subscription Edition.
• Develop modern client-side applications using SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
• Build and maintain integrations between SharePoint and external systems using REST APIs.
• Develop using SharePoint CSOM and JSOM technologies.
• Support maintenance, enhancement and modernisation of existing SharePoint customisations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration and performance issues.
• Participate in technical design reviews, testing, deployment and production support.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides and support procedures.
• Collaborate with project teams, technical stakeholders and end users to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• We require familiarity with Visual Studio Code or equivalent, Node.js (LTS), npm or pnpm, Vite, ESLint, Prettier, browser developer tools and Git-based source control systems.
• We require effective use of Git-based source control and branching strategies.
• We require familiarity with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
• We require secure handling of client-side configuration and application settings.
• We require awareness of logging, monitoring and error-handling best practices.
• We require the ability to produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
