South Ayrshire is situated in a beautiful location in Scotland with easy access to road and rail networks. Our diverse area includes the towns of Ayr, Girvan, Maybole, Prestwick, and Troon, as well as small rural villages, coastline, and farmland. We seek to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in school leadership and improving outcomes for children, combined with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead both Minishant and Crosshill primaries as a shared headship. Both schools are non-denominational, situated in the North Carrick area of the authority. Minishant Primary has a roll of around 20, and Crosshill Primary has a roll of 45, including the Early Years Centre. Both schools are part of the Carrick Academy cluster. They have a culture of ambition, high expectations, and achievement for all children.

This post is considered regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update if already a member, before a formal offer of employment.
