JOB DESCRIPTION

South Ayrshire is situated in a beautiful location in Scotland with easy access to road and rail networks. Our diverse area includes the towns of Ayr, Girvan, Maybole, Prestwick, and Troon, as well as small rural villages, coastline, and farmland. As a Council, we are committed to raising standards, delivering excellent services, and ensuring every child and young person achieves success. We are continuing to drive forward an ambitious improvement agenda and are looking for outstanding leaders to help us achieve this aim.

We seek to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in school leadership and improving outcomes for children, combined with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead both Minishant and Crosshill primaries as a shared headship. Both schools are non-denominational, situated in the North Carrick area of the authority. Minishant Primary has a roll of around 20, and Crosshill Primary has a roll of 45, including the Early Years Centre. Both schools are part of the Carrick Academy cluster. They have a culture of ambition, high expectations, and achievement for all children.
